After 16 years in San Francisco, where she began her career as a hairstylist, Chrystal Cortez returned home to Southern California with a love for creating hair that feels personal, effortless, and completely authentic to the person wearing it.

Chrystal is all about collaboration. She takes the time to listen, understand her clients’ lifestyle and personal style, and guide them toward a look that not only feels like them, but actually works for their everyday life. Her chair is a space where questions are welcome, communication matters, and clients can feel comfortable throughout the entire process.

She specializes in transformation haircuts, effortless layered cuts, short styles, and hand styling, along with dimensional color ranging from rich brunettes and redheads to vivids, bleach-and-tones, and root touch-ups. She also loves teaching clients how to style and care for their hair at home, so the good hair doesn’t end when they leave the salon.

Chrystal is committed to continuing her education and evolving her craft, always bringing something new back to her clients.

When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll probably find her working out, hunting down a new vegan restaurant or pour-over coffee spot, thrifting, trying a new recipe, or taking a long walk with her dogs and partner.
