Born in Los Angeles to musician parents, creativity has always been part of Kat Lara’s world. With a songwriter for a dad and a backup singer for a mom, she grew up in a home where individuality was celebrated and finding your own unique voice was always encouraged. After studying at art school in Detroit and living in Nashville, Denver, Tampa, Detroit, and Los Angeles, Kat eventually found another creative outlet behind the chair—and has now been doing hair for over 12 years.

Kat loves helping clients find their signature style, creating highly customized looks based on their personality, lifestyle, and what makes them feel most like themselves. Her sweet spot is pretty hair with a twist—something beautiful and wearable, but with enough personality to make it distinctly yours.

She specializes in shags, bleach-and-tones, and color corrections, bringing an artist’s eye and years of experience to every transformation. Kat loves collaborating with her clients, whether they already know exactly what they want or need a little guidance figuring out what comes next.

Outside the salon, Kat is a musician, hardcore gamer, and proud mom of one. She has an eclectic taste in music with a particular love for metal, and loves road trips, cinema, stand-up comedy, old movies, thrifting, and all things vintage!
