Rachel Galati (she/her) is a San Diego native and seasoned stylist with over a decade of experience behind the chair. Her passion for hair began early and has grown into a career rooted in thoughtful, creative work—especially short haircuts and expressive, personalized styles.
At The Ministry Salon, Rachel specializes in short haircuts, razor cuts, and custom shapes for all hair textures. Her approach blends precision with straight razor techniques to create low-maintenance styles that grow out effortlessly and reflect each client’s individuality. She pairs her cutting work with gentle color services, including soft blondes, rich brunettes, platinums, and bold vivids, always prioritizing hair health and authenticity.
Rachel is deeply committed to creating an inclusive, judgment-free experience. Her services are priced by time rather than gender, gratuity-free, and designed to feel equitable and welcoming to every client.
Outside the salon, Rachel works in film and television hair, collaborates on creative projects, and enjoys exploring Los Angeles with her three cats and her dog, Scout.

"I love my haircut!!!! This was my first time visiting and I booked with Rachel for a trim on my short bob. I have seen two hairstylists prior in the past couple of years, and the cut was just not right. It usually looked good on the first day after the cut but as soon as I wash it and dry it myself it looked strange. I have thick hair, so if it’s not cut right, it would look not polished and it makes my head looks big.But Rachel!!
